As the founding lodge of the Order of the Arrow, Unami Lodge, One holds a legacy unlike any other. Born in 1915 on the shores of Treasure Island Scout Reservation Unami set the standard for brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service that lodges across the nation continue to follow.
What makes Unami truly remarkable today is the sheer scale and structure of its membership. The lodge’s leadership opportunities are bountiful with its Lodge Executive Committee (LEC) being made up of thirty-three (33) voting members: representing chapters, committees, and lodge officer roles. This extensive team sees to it that every voice in the lodge has a seat at the table, and that every initiative is led by a passionate youth leadership.
An extraordinary example of youth leadership is Unami’s Events Committee, which stands as a powerhouse of creativity and collaboration, boasting over twenty (20) dedicated Arrowmen who work tirelessly to plan, design, and execute the lodge’s engaging weekends and fellowship experiences.
As Unami celebrates its 111th birthday , it continues to balance tradition with progress. Honoring its role as the birthplace of the Order while embracing new ways to serve, lead, and inspire.
