Each and every lodge has a unique and extra special event that excites and engages their Arrowmen, keeping them coming back time and time again. For Lenape Lodge, that event is their Lodge Holiday Bash, where our arrowmen come together in holiday fellowship to share the brotherly love and cheerful service that our organization values so deeply.
This year’s Holiday Bash was held on Friday, December 12th, from 7-9pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Haddonfield, NJ. More than 70 Arrowmen and their families came together to participate in some fantastically festive activities, such as gingerbread house making, ornament decorating, holiday karaoke, and a gift wrapping competition! These events brought all of our brothers together in the spirit of the holiday season, leaving them with the perfect memories to cap off their year with the lodge.
As the clock struck 8, we had a few special visitors from the North Pole, including the one and only Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and Santa’s favorite elf. Every brother had the opportunity to meet Santa, tell him what they wanted for Christmas, and get a tinseltastic photo! Our Lodge Advisers sadly missed Santa since they were off advising, and he left right before they got back. Mr. Tarditi especially was very disappointed.
The event had a small registration fee of just $10, which the lodge was able to use for desserts, activity materials, and some exclusive Holiday Bash flaps for all participants. Attendees were also asked to bring some of their favorite sweet treats to share with the rest of the lodge, potluck style. Plenty of decorations were able to be found in our lodge program materials, and everything else was acquired in a 3-hour Walmart run by our lodge chief.
Our exciting lodge trading post was also open at the Holiday Bash, featuring a wide variety of sweatshirts, headgear, and T-shirts, as well as a plethora of lodge patches. Our smash hit “mystery bags” were revamped for this year’s Holiday Bash, featuring tons of patches from our lodge, our legacy lodges, and other councils/events from across the nation.
Each year, the Holiday Bash consistently enjoys more attendance than most of our fellowship events, with the same high quality program that can be expected at any of our lodge events. This event was first implemented in December of 2022, and its attendance grows each and every year. Lenape Lodge plans on continuing this exciting tradition far into the future, and we can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for our lodge!
